WHAT WE’RE DOING AT WEST CENTRAL
“Preparing all students for learning and living in a changing world”
The WCEF, founded in 2008, is a volunteer organization of local parents, educators, and community members to assist the West Central School District achieve its goals of educating our community’s students.
The West Central Education Foundation is proudly supported by the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation, which holds two funds to benefit our students.
A short-term fund is available to make immediate grant awards for educational opportunities. This includes funds for the Innovation in Education Grant Program. Most donations are placed in the Education Foundation’s endowment fund and only a portion is available for distribution each year.
The rest of the earnings are reinvested, and continue to grow the endowment. The donations you make today will still be making a difference in the lives of students 25, 50 and even 100 years from now!
We can provide these grants thanks to the generous support of many local businesses. Take a look at our list of contributors. We encourage you all to support them.
Our success relies on more than financial resources or organizational efforts. It is also about the shared involvement and commitment of community members who support the goal of positively impacting society.
