Lights, Cameras, Action!
The 49-7 Club takes its name from our District’s state designation,
and its mission is to support special one-time projects
that improve the educational environment at West Central.
We encouraged our Alumni and Friends to join the 49-7 Club
through donations of $497, $49.70 AND $4.97.
The 49-7 Club supports special projects for the focus of our fundraising efforts.
After careful consideration of this year's Innovation in Education Grant applications, our Grant subcommittee pinpointed two projects deserving of special attention. These projects, centered around enhancing our High School Auditorium's stage lighting and supplying essential equipment for our burgeoning art classes, were selected to become the focus of our next campaign.

LIGHTS!
Our High School Auditorium's stage lighting is overdue for an upgrade. With aging equipment, our ability to create dynamic and modern lighting setups lags
behind other schools in our area.
The lighting system is original to the building, built in the early 1970's
The lighting upgrades in the auditorium will benefit students in activities including theater, music, FFA, and FCCLA. They will also improve the environment for in-service, orientation, and other community events.
By revitalizing our lighting system, we aim to provide our students in theater and music programs with the tools they need to explore their creativity fully. Additionally, a modernized auditorium will attract community use and regional competitions, enhancing our school's reputation as a cultural hub.
CAMERAS
Our photography classes, in particular, have seen a surge in popularity. These classes offer students a transformative experience, fostering creativity and technical proficiency in visual storytelling.
Our High School Art Department faces a shortage of essential equipment, specifically professional-grade digital cameras.
By incorporating this project into the 49-7 Club, we aim to expand our scope and purchase a total of 12 new digital cameras, empowering more students to pursue their artistic passions.
